Better Birchbox!

Woo Hoo my March BirchBox finally arrived.

AND I WAS REALLY HAPPY WITH IT!

I am super excited about my BB!

For starters, I have been back and forth about SuperGoop and was SO excited to see a sample here!  It’s been rainy here the last few days, so I haven’t had the chance to test it but I am excited.  We are going SUP this weekend, so it will be the perfect chance to try them!

One Love Organics:  Skin Savior

In My Professional Product Whore Opinion:

LOVE IT.  LOVE LOVE LOVE.  Its like the duct tape of my product arsenal.  It works so well as lip balm, moisturizer, and even a cleanser!  This will be a product I keep with me always.  It smells dreamy!

I also received a Lavender dry shampoo.   I am super excited to use this product!  I have heard loads of good things about it and I have been looking for a good dry shampoo so this was an exciting product to find in my box!

The tea is still un-opened 😦  But I love tea and am excited!

The teal nail polish is my ab fab!

Overall, I love BirchBox…This month!

OMG-She is so cool.

I had the most fabulous weekend.  Yesterday, I blogged out all evening….and it was awesome.

Here are some pics I am in love with, these images all come from Pinterest and are in my  “She is just so cool” board:

In other news, today is Shellac experiment Day 8:

My Professional Product Whore Opinion:

As suspected, I am bored with the colors 😉

The grow out is starting to be more obvious to me…but overall, not noticeable.

It’s day 8, and I would have normally already done a DIY manicure 3 times, so I’d say these babies are 100% worth it:)

Karma BURNS–YET ANOTHER NEOSPORIN review

Karma is real–even in the blogsphere!  BELIEVE IT-I have pictures to prove it.

Remember the other day when I was making fun of the reviews for the INSTYLER?

“Not unlike most products, there are lovers and haters.  The thing that made the haters different in this case is that their posts often read like this:  “BURNED MY HEAD”  “Burned my hands and ears.”  “Broke when I put too much hair in it.”

Since I am a female…and have always used heated tools on my hair (like since I was 10.) I felt with my 20 years of heated tool experience and COMMON SENSE that I would be ok.  Seriously, you burned your hands, head or ears?  Really?  Have you never used a curling iron before?!  ALSO, the INSTYLER comes with a “How to DVD.”

Ahh…the irony is almost too much.  This morning while try to manage my STUPID bangs, I burned my forehead.  For those of you that are giggling, I am tempted to be mad, but at the same time I appreciate your appreciation for irony.

For those of you that haven’t had a burn in a while, let me remind you.  At first there’s the shock of the initial contact, then it actually doesn’t hurt.  Then suddenly the slow but building painful burning sensation (not at all unlike the burn from acid.)

I know you can’t tell in this picture, but it hurts…A LOT.

Karma Burns...

The great thing about this picture is that you can see the small scar from the “Hydrochloric Acid Incident.”  It has healed nicely, but I think there might always be a scar… (the other great thing about the pic is that I kind of look cross eyed–awesome.)

My Professional Product Whore Opinion:

Thank goodness for Neosporin +Pain Relief.  A burn just plain sucks.  It’s not like a poke or an abrasion-these both hurt but generally its a short lived pain.  A burn hurts far worse after the fact.  AND this is exactly why I love Neosporin +Pain Relief.

Not only does Neosporin provide first aid infection protection it also provides MAXIMUM strength pain relief.  THANK GOODNESS.

I wasn’t super confident in the pain relief aspect, but sure enough it worked.  I applied the ointment as I was walking out the door.  By the time I got to my desk the pain was GONE.  GONE.

Moving forward, I will be keeping a tube in my purse. Not a lot of proud moments lately.

24 hours later…no pain but…

Its not that bad…is it?

My Professional Product Whore Opinion:

I’ve used this scrub for a few years.  I tested quite a few other scrubs and wasn’t super impressed with the exfoliation.  This product has really big sugar particles that don’t break down immediately in water.  I like that my skin feels (almost raw:)) after.  Lets face it ladies, there are parts of our bodies that we need to scrub raw…I mean soft.  For me its the backs of my arms and the backs of my legs.

I like that this product is balanced with so much moisture.  The oils in the scrub are very lux feeling and smell super lemony fresh.  I like that the smell lingers well into the day.  It might be a little too sweet for some, but I really dig it.

All you single ladies, this is your product.  This was my Pre-Date routine with my now hubby.  Clearly it worked out.  He was always going on about how I smell so good:)

Things to consider:  I don’t love that the oil is hard to wash off.  I assume that’s the point, that there is supposed to be a light residue.  I like that I don’t have to lather on my moisturizer after (because sometimes I am LAZY) but sometimes I think it makes me itchy. It is also a little pricey and easy to waste…for me it lasts long enough and does its job so its worth it. Also, it makes your tub or shower floor REALLY REALLY REALLY SLIPPERY.  REALLY SLIPPERY…I wouldn’t advise giving this as a gift to the elderly-my hubs complains about it almost every time.

This is also great for PRE-Sunless tanner application and Pre-Bikini wax.
